The Social Entrepreneurship Initiative at the Institute for Nonprofits is thrilled to announce that scholarship funding is available for two NC State students to attend the 2017 ASHOKA Exchange. This conference is an exciting gathering of students, educators and leaders in social entrepreneurship from around the globe. Its goal is to take a deep dive into the growth and importance of social innovation on university campuses and share expertise on how best to inspijackie-elizabeth-chrisre and support the next generation of world change makers!

Institute staff will be your hosts at the conference. This is an opportunity for YOU to more deeply explore your passion and purpose. It is also a great opportunity to network and learn with students from all over the world. NC State needs your ideas to then help us shape the vision for social entrepreneurship on our campus!

Scholarjackie-nateship funding will cover all conference and travel costs. The conference runs from Thursday March 2nd through Saturday March 4th. Lodging will be provided at the Hilton Miami Downtown where some of the conference will take place in addition to the campus at Miami Dade College.

To be considered for participation please immediately send along a paragraph or two about why you feel this conference would be of value to you as you continue your studies at NC State and also as you consider future career aspirations. This opportunity is for ALL students whether you are just learning about social entrepreneurship or launching a social enterprise. Post conference, we ask that recipients submit a one-page reflection paper to share what they learned.
