PJ Highlights Public Safety, Disaster Preparedness & Relief Orgs

This month, the Philanthropy Journal will be highlighting the work of organizations whose mission area(s) are Public Safety, Disaster Preparedness and Relief. Organizations in this mission area work to prevent, predict or control the effects of disasters, educate or otherwise prepare individuals to cope with the effects of such disasters, or provide emergency rescue operations. Different categories exist for those who fight fires, prevent automobile accidents, participate in emergency rescue, and so on.

Organizations highlighted this month include GeoHazards International, the Information Technology Disaster Research Center, and Islamic Relief USA.
